Super lovely location. It’s my first time in a stand alone A&W and it was clean, tidy, and the bathroom was spacious and very clean so I appreciate that because that’s usually not the case for fast food restrooms. I was not expecting sit down service but our server was very nice too!
I recently stopped by the A&W in Standish and was thoroughly impressed! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure my experience was exceptional. But the real star of the show was the food - I ordered the bacon burger and fries, and it was love at first bite! The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the fries were crispy and flavorful. The root beer was also a highlight, creamy and sweet with just the right amount of foam. Overall, I'm so glad I chose A&W for my meal, and I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. 5 stars, hands down! The GM does a great job by training her staff accordingly to handle any type of situation thrown at them.

My wife and I were taking a trip home from the UP, and I wanted to treat her to some A&W, and she was game for it. And feeling nostalgic, I missed the days of the carhops on skates (even Sonic had discontinued that in the recent years with most of their restaurants), and I told my wife about the last A&W that was in Detroit and how I’d go there before going shopping at a suburban mall ten minutes from there (the restaurant eventually shut down and moved to the mall). But seeing this restaurant in Standish, MI had brought back lots of memories. Especially the draft root beer! Nobody does it better than Allen & Wright. These are one of the few fast food franchises that will give you your money’s worth when it comes to their product! And the server? Sorry, the lady’s name escapes me right now, but if she’s up for a promotion, please consider her for it!
Stopped in for breakfast. First time I had breakfast there. I had the Ultimate Breakfast burrito. It was awesome. The price was good too.
Our favorite place to stop when traveling up US 23. The restaurant is always clean and the service is good, whether inside or at the car. We love their chicken tenders. They are not processed, but good fresh chicken. We also enjoy the cheese curds and onion rings.
